SUMMER 2009

Here's a taster of what is coming up over the summer.

Lions v South Africa – Sat 27 June

Clubhouse will be open on Saturday for the second Test from 1:30pm (k/o 2pm), followed by drunken touch-rugby again. Des Friel has also arranged for several of the young lads who played for us this season to join us, which will be a nice send off before they go on Tour to South Africa & hopefully help us pick up a few players for next season!

Pre Season Training - Tues 30 June

Be there for the start of Pre Season training at the school. New players welcome.

Sevens Tournament – Sat 1 Aug

6th annual tournament at Cottons Park. 5/6 teams from Campion. Relatively low key, but good little run out. Campion 1s, Campion 2s, Campion 3s, Campion 30+, Campion u21s, Bobs Bombers. See Bob Mansell / Luke Maguire for further info

Patto Day 15s Tournament – Sat 29 Aug

Last year’s Patto day was the best yet and this years promises to be an even bigger & better salute to the big man. 6/8 local teams. CRY will hopefully be making a visit to Cottons for some free heart monitoring. There will also be plenty of sunshine, champagne rugby, music, food, beer and G&Ts… hope you can make it. Sponsorship 2009-10

We would like to remind you that we are always looking for Sponsors who can help the club in any way. This saturday coming is a big day at the club. We have the following events lined up. Come down to the club for the AGM and then to watch the days sports.

12pm - AGM
Vote for next years captains, vices, committee, sign-up to the club, and get fitted for next years stash.

2pm - The Lions Opener
The Lions take on Highveld XV in South Africa.

3pm - FA Cup Final
Chelsea vs Everton

3.15pm - Barbarians
Simultaneously we'll have the Barbarians vs England on.
